The 16-century farmhouse in Vrba where France Prešeren was born in 1800 keeps its black kitchen, poet’s room and first editions of his 1847 Poems. Every 8 February, recitals echo under the old linden tree. A farm outbuilding is being transformed into a new interpretation centre, with guided “hard-hat” tours available until full reopening in 2026.
