Housed in an 1880s Neo-Renaissance palace, the museum showcases Slovenia’s cultural DNA: the 60 000-year Divje Babe flute, the Bronze-Age Vače situla, Roman lapidarium and a jewel-box Egyptian room, with a second site on Metelkova Street for medieval and applied arts.
