Museum of underwater activities

At the Museum of Underwater Activities in Piran, you will be able to see displays of diving from its beginnings to the present day. You will learn about diving in diving suits, diving accidents, sports diving, diving in navies, rescue from sunken submarines, the operation of submarines, underwater photographs, etc. On display are: ancient diving equipment, hand pumps, diving suits and sports diving equipment used by our ancestors, grandfathers and fathers. You will see sabotage diving equipment, underwater weapons, submarine models, submarine uniforms and personal items of individuals who represent our rich history of underwater activities. Objects, photographs and other materials will conjure up the lives of old divers and submariners and their mysterious underwater world that surrounded them during dangerous and difficult work, when exploring the underwater depths or for fun.
