For almost two centuries coal wagons clattered through the Zabukovica‑Liboje basin, shaping the landscape and the people who called it home. Since 2004 the Mining Museum in Dom Svoboda Griže has preserved that legacy. Its permanent display of lamps, tools, helmets, logbooks and sepia photographs invites you to descend—without leaving daylight—into the gritty rhythm of life underground. Former miners are often on hand, adding first‑person memories to every object you touch.
