Housed in the historic Klinar House, Slovenia’s first technical museum (1952) tells the story of iron in the Upper Sava valley. Scale models bring 17th‑century forges to life, while an unrivalled collection of 94 nail types ranges from shoemaker tacks to 70‑cm river‑dam spikes. An ethnology room recreates the home life of blacksmith families, and a gallery showcases the ornate wrought‑iron art of master Joža Bertoncelj. Two vintage Slovenian films and rotating exhibits round out an immersive journey “from ore to nail.”
