Founded in 1953, the museum safeguards, researches, and interprets the movable heritage of twelve Carinthian municipalities between the Pohorje range and Mount Peca.
Its three pillars are: the technical legacy of Ravne Ironworks, the cultural diversity of Carinthia (laufarji masks, “trampe” rag‑dolls, etc.), and a geological collection of 2,900 minerals and fossils. Koroški Pokrajinski MuzejKoroški Pokrajinski Muzej
