Bovška Gates of Kluže

The historically marked area at the confluence of the Koritnica and Šumnik rivers, where, under the auspices of the Kluže Fortress and the Upper Hermann Fortress, the murmuring waters constantly carve and deepen the rocky channels, reveals in stone hidden stories of the past. In the past hundred thousand years, glaciers have repeatedly eroded and buried the Loga Valley beneath Mangart and Bavšice and filled the lake in the Bovška basin.
