Zaprice Castle

Perched above medieval Kamnik, Zaprice Castle began as a 16th‑century Renaissance manor and gained Baroque grace two centuries later. During the Reformation its thick walls sheltered the town’s Lutherans; today they showcase the rich collections of the Kamnik Inter‑Municipal Museum. From prehistoric tools and knightly swords to bourgeois parlours and alpine folk costume, every room unveils a chapter of a town that once ruled Carniola.
