Just outside Ljubljana lies Volčji Potok Arboretum – a living gallery of 3,500 tree and shrub species arranged not in rows, but in painterly vistas. Stroll beneath lime alleys, past fiery Japanese maples, fragrant rose beds and curious conifers scaled like exotic reptiles. Each scene illustrates which plants thrive together and how colour, texture and season can weave a garden story.
